I have a special appreciation for wood as a medium and artists that incorporate natural wood grain and texture with their artwork. Lauren Gray does this so freakin’ beautifully (pardon my eloquence).  Dove Study is an original drawing that has been permanently mounted into a frame made of recycled barn wood. To build upon my love for hand-colored prints from yesterday, I fell for this Jessica Stewart print and its delicate, unique touches. From her listing: “each print is distressed individually, spray painted and drawn on to create a unique mix between a print and new artwork.”  All prints are numbered and signed limited edition pieces that have the same base but grow into individual pieces. Inspiring, to say the least!
